These are very good headphones, for the price you can't beat them. I really like these headphones

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

The aesthetic feature of the Elex headphone is really appealing with the Black, on Black on Black sequencing. I have four Focal headphones and the Elex is just as unique as the others. My Elex are being driven with the cables (since they did not arrive with cables specific to the Elex) from my Clear headphones along with the ifi Kensei Dac and the sound stage as well as instrumental detail are phenomenal. The clarity of vocals compete with my Revel Bookshelf speakers and the pinpoint detail of instruments are a special treat. Hopefully, others are experiencing as much enjoyment as I am from my Elex headphones.

Focal Elex Headphones - B Stock

There are not enough adjectives to properly attach to this headphone. The price to performance ratio is simply off the charts for a product delivering this lush and wide a soundscape at this price point. I am actually stunned. This puts anything else in the same price category (at least that I own) , in a box to be sold at some later date.

OMG. I am nearly at a loss for words concerning this headphone. The price to performance ratio is perhaps the largest in any piece of audio equipment I have ever purchased. There is a lush, wide soundscape that does not need equalization over almost any music. I am truly stunned by this product.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Very good headphone, I have several headphones from detail oriented planars to multi driver iems and for someone looking for a tone and timbre first headphone at a good price this is it. Great soundstage and detail is good even though that's not really their thing. These are for music lovers that want to hear the tonality of the music. Zero fatigue and they scale well with source gear.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Honestly impressed. I had AR5000 while back but I feel this is actually improvement of sound over that one.

Headphones.com always delivers -- I've purchased from them before, and this time was no different. I love the headphones, I love the customer service.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Talk about bang for the buck. I had previously thought the Hifiman Sundara's were one of the best values but for an extra $70 or so, it doesnt' get too much better than the AR3000's. As noted in many reviews, the bass is not lacking at all. Just a great all around sound, with a little heaviness on the bass, makes for a fun listen. Comparing to the Meze 105 AER, the bass is a little more thumpy, while the mids/highs are more detailed and less warm than the 105's. Haven't tried anything else from Aune yet, but definitely excited to.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

This is a well made and great fitting hat. I like the overall style of this cap, I have had many compliments on the looks of this hat.

"Listen Up" Five Panel Cap

This is an outstanding headphone. Drive it with a decent headphone amp or a dongle DAC, if you like. Bass is boosted a little, as with most headphones, but that bass is tight, solid, right. Midrange and treble are superb. THIS is how you get high-end sound for a song. Use this headphone for serious listening and your "main" system for casual listening and don't put too much $$$ into that system. The depreciation on these components (featured on the covers of the hi-fi rags) is horrendous. And the Aune ar 3000 will likely still sound better1

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Really nice headphone. Love the ear cups and pads geometry and size. Very good sound out of the box, even better with a touch of EQ. Great value at $250, even better if it goes on sale.

Customer photo review of Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

As far as I’m concerned these are fantastic headphones. I’m coming from IEMs and a pair of Grados, so the AR3000 is an entirely different experience. I love the addition to what I have and the choice of a nice open-back, over-ear option that sounds mostly correct through the frequency range. For the price these are really hard to beat.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Very good tone. Much better bass and sub bass than I anticipated. It does not have the clarity of my HD600, but it sound richer.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Very comfortable! Light. Base more impactful than my 5000ll. Work well with hearing aids. Surprising technicality and a little bright. Money well spent’

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

So far the hype is real. At this price it’s incredible how good they are.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

I’m a big fan of headphones.com, and I really like the work you do on YouTube. I find it very informative and helpful in making a selection when we don’t have a store nearby. I will have to say, though, I’m not a big fan of FedEx, in our area, at least I screw up every delivery and I have to worry about it actually getting it or where they might put it. So I would like an option to select a different delivery service if that’s possible. That’s the only complaint I really have. Everything else is top-notch.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Best value for money headphones on the market. Also beats headphones costing 10 times as much.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Stellar headphone for the money. Honestly this and the D1 are the only dynamic headphones I would consider under $1000. I did not expect this level of clarity, timbre, or bass extension for the price.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Excellent headphone. Purchased as a gift but had to try them out first. Great bass extension for an open back, maybe a little too relaxed in the treble for my taste but I much prefer that to excessive energy. I’d say for the price these are a 5/5

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Super fast shipping. For a "B stock" can, these came basically brand new. About 8 total hours of listening so far and the Elex sounds like its injecting the music straight into my brain. Coming from a pair of DT880 Pros.

Focal Elex Headphones - B Stock

Outstanding sound at this price point. The best under $600 headphones I have heard.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

these cables resemble those Alli express aftermarket cables. In a side by side comparison both seem the same build and same sound. I only wonder what the product mark-up their using and also the country of origin? They do work well however and a 10 ft. XLR are hard to find.

Etched Headphone Cable

I bought these based on the Headphone Show review and am so very very happy I did. I’ve been wearing 600s for almost 20 years. I try various other headphones here and there, but always went back. I won’t be going back this time. Watch the review, buy the D1, sit back and enjoy the hell out of them. In case it is of interest, I drive them with a Schiitstack of Mimir and Midgard. Sonic bliss altogether.

Customer photo review of Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

If a friend were to ask me, "What headphone should I buy?" I would probably point at the AR3000 and not bother qualifying further. Sure, for me, there's a bit too much bass, but a simple peak filter solves that. I'm also not the biggest fan of the ear pads, as they get a bit warm on my head, and I would have preferred that they be more open, making it easier to pad swap if one desired to do so. I'd also like a different cable, but I don't often like the cables that come in the box with most headphones. My personal gripes aside, most people will love the AR3000 as-is, I think, because of the rich tonality of the lows and mids, as well as the easy-going treble. The overall sound fits well with most genres -- the exception might be metal genres with double-kick drums and drop-tuned bass or 7-8 string guitars chugging to the same rhythm, which sounds a bit bloated without lowering the 50-250hz range by a few db -- and the spaciousness and separation is good enough to not make every instrument or vocal seem like it's coming from inside your head. I would gladly take these over the Sennheiser HD6xx range any day, and the only headphones I personally would reach for to listen critically is the Audio Technica ATH-R70xa, which is easily 40% more expensive and decidedly not everyone's cup of tea. Easy recommendation.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

Easy recommendation. S-tier sound and comfort. The cable is too springy and has memory, but appears fairly durable. It’s standard 3.5mm on the cups, so one could easily swap out the cable.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

I've owned the 105 AER, 109 Pro, Empyrean II, and now the Arta-- absolutely the peak Meze sound.

Meze Audio ARTA Headphones

This was a random purchase for me. I have plenty of expensive headphones but I was surprised how good these sound. The treble, mids and bass all sound great. These can be a daily driver for sure. All genres of music sound great on these.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

I am completely blown away by the overall sound that these headphones produce. I absolutely love their wide sound stage and the distinct separation of instruments that make listening to them a true pleasure. I feel the angled drivers make a significant difference in how your ear hears the music being produced. The added 4.4mm balanced cable is a real plus and adds great value to the overall package that Aune offers to enhance the listening experience. The attention to detail in a headphone in this price range is simply unheard of in today's market of pricey headphones. I have built a solid headphone collection over the years that includes Meze Elites, Beyerdynamic T-1 Generation 3, Head Audio D1 and Aune AR5000 MKII and SR7000's. The AR3000's are the best sounding headphones that I have purchased in a very long time. Don't wait to buy these as they are going to be hard to get a hold of because of the overall positive response that customers are going to have with purchasing these outstanding headphones. I don't think you can find a better built, incredible sounding headphone for the money! Aune hit a home run with this model, it was worth the wait to purchase these headphones. I am one of the lucky first purchasers of them and I thank Resolve for nailing the recommendation for this one from the trade show earlier in the year. Bravo Headphones.com for offering these brilliant headphones for $249.00, what an incredible return on your investment!

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

As Headphone Show viewers will know, headphone impressions can vary considerably between listeners. The ÆON CORE seems exceptionally well-suited to my ears and preferences. For context, I’m someone who loves and can listen to the HD600 all day but consistently hears the HD6XX as profoundly different and fatiguing due to bloated bass and somewhat veiled treble. I know they’re supposed to be incredibly similar, but that’s not how I experience them, and I think that difference might be relevant to my impressions of the CORE. The CORE has been almost everything I hoped for in a closed-back headphone. It isolates well. Its bass extends very deep, with excellent texture and control and no bloat. It doesn’t have the visceral punch of my Focal Celestee, but this was expected. It doesn’t feel like it is artificially boosting bass, but I would not call it a “lean” presentation at all. In this respect, it reminds me of the HD600’s clean bass presentation, only with vastly better extension. Electronic music with bass in the 20 Hz region absolutely comes through with authority. The HD600 still has more natural acoustic and vocal timbre to my ears, but the CORE is remarkably good for a closed-back, with a shockingly wide, out-of-head soundstage that’s almost the opposite of the HD600. The CORE is incisive and resolving, but incisive shouldn’t be mistaken for bright. To me, it sounds neither warm nor bright - just remarkably well-balanced. I expected to love the Noire X, but I immediately experienced it as overwhelmingly sibilant, so I was concerned about reports of a possible 5 kHz peak in the CORE. Fortunately, I simply haven’t experienced it, even when trying to provoke it with notoriously bright recordings and aggressive heavy metal. If I’m nitpicking, there are two compromises I have noticed. There’s a slight recession as bass guitars (and other instruments / synths) climb into the upper bass region - likely the trade-off for limiting bass bloat. Exceptionally busy passages, especially ones with a lot happening in the midrange, can lose a sense of detail, but importantly, it happens in a way that is inoffensive and sounds more like a rounding-off than coarse breakup. These really are subtle imperfections, and it’s much easier for me to accept a bit of absence of clarity or certain frequency bands than an offensive excess in an area. Comfort, even with my huge head and one abnormally protruding ear that likes to try to touch driver grills, is exceptional. Ear pad depth is great. Clamp is strong enough to seal without being annoyingly tight. Not having to manually adjust fit is a revelation - I have never owned a headphone with this kind of strap, and I absolutely love it. While it doesn’t fold down like other DCAs, it’s still no worse than any other non-folding headphone for travel. I anticipate it will take over for the Celestee as my default headphone on the road. Honestly, it’s getting more use at home than I ever expected, probably due to the comfort and overall sense of well-roundedness. If you have felt turned off by the HD6XX / HD650 / Noire X, and especially if you love the HD600 and are looking for a complementary flavor, trading some timbre for bass extension, staging, and closed-back isolation, then I implore you to give this a listen. This is one of those rare purchases that is genuinely living up to the hype, and I didn’t even have to break out the copium!

Came in near perfect condition. Headphone sounds wonderful :) couldn’t ask for more

Focal Elex Headphones - B Stock

Had the chance to listen to these for a while after they arrived today. I’m very pleasantly surprised for how good these are for the price. For reference, not everyone will, but I enjoy these more than cans like the Heddphone D1, HD 6xx, and Meze 109 pro. Outstanding set of headphones, with an amazing timbre.

Aune Audio AR3000 Headphones

My order arrived quickly. They sound great, and even though they are B stock I can't find a single thing wrong with them!

The sound after 3 days of listening on the Bathys MG is extremely refined & detailed and a pleasure to leave on for a long time . I have not tried the Noise Cancelling on air travel yet.
