Aune Audio BP1 External Power Supply

The Aune BP1 is the external power supply built for the BX2 Magnum portable headphone amplifier. It feeds the amplifier +15V, -15V, and +5V through a 5-pin connector, taking the internal battery out of the loop entirely for desktop listening.

Running the BX2 Magnum on the BP1 does two useful things. The analog circuit receives higher voltage rails than the battery bank supplies, giving the amplifier its full desktop-grade operating conditions during long sessions, and the battery cells sit idle instead of cycling, saving their charge and their lifespan for when the amp actually leaves the desk.

The BP1 shares the BX2 Magnum's footprint and black-and-gold aluminum design, so the pair stacks into one clean desktop unit with the power supply underneath. A single front knob switches it on, and the connection to the amplifier is one cable into the EXTERNAL socket on the BX2 Magnum's rear panel. It is designed for indoor use.
