Audeze announces the release of MM-520—their newest open-back studio headphones.

Audeze today announces the release of MM-520, the sequel to the MM-500, and the next iteration of its purpose-built studio headphones in the Manny Marroquin Signature Series.

The new MM-520 integrates Audeze’s new SLAM™ (Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator) technology in the aim of providing audio professionals & creators with better bass accuracy.

Developed in collaboration with 18-time Grammy-winning mix engineer Manny Marroquin, the MM-520 is meant to be used as a tool designed to deliver mixes that translate perfectly across any system.

By incorporating the SLAM™ technology, the MM-520 optimizes air pressure within the earcup to enhance low-frequency extension without sacrificing the midrange neutrality that made the original MM-500 a staple.

High sensitivity and low impedance allow the MM-520 to be driven easily by consoles, interfaces, or laptops, both inside and outside the studio. Upgraded memory foam earpads were designed for maximizing comfort during marathon mixing sessions, and they now feature a magnetic attachment mechanism for easy replacement by the end-user.
