Planar Magnetic Driver: Precision and Power
The Solo represents a first for 64 Audio using being their first solo driver universal in-ear monitor and first UIEM to use a planar magnetic driver. Unlike traditional dynamic drivers, the planar magnetic driver moves uniformly, providing incredible detail and resolution typically associated with multi-driver configurations. The Solo’s single planar driver can extract micro-details, offering a high-resolution sound signature that spans the frequency spectrum without the need for multiple drivers.
Helmholtz Resonators: Acoustic Mastery
64 Audio is introducing the world's first Helmoltz Resonator in an IEM. Not only that, they've introduced two Helmholtz resonators into the Solo's acoustic chamber, representing a new approach to tuning single-driver IEMs. These resonators are 3D printed into the chamber to fine-tune and control high-frequency amplitudes while reducing unwanted peaks. By carefully adjusting air pressure and resonant frequencies, the Helmholtz resonators allow Solo to deliver rich mids and sparkling highs, while maintaining balance across the full frequency range.
