I listen to music based on mood, not genre.
Some days it is Fred again.. and a coffee that makes the morning feel suspiciously cinematic. Some days it is Enter Shikari or Electric Callboy loud enough to make the team wonder whether I should really be in charge of anything. By the end of the day, I usually find my way back to RÜFÜS DU SOL or Ben Böhmer like I never left.
If I had to call out the stuff I come back to most, it is probably melodic EDM, trance, and synthwave. Give me a great synth line and I am fully locked in.
That said, my Spotify is all over the place, which is exactly how I like it. I have a headphone testing playlist sitting next to progressive trance, golden hour house, old favorites, random left turns, and songs that just felt right that week. Somewhere in there, Paul Oakenfold, The Midnight, and Martin Garrix are all hanging out together and honestly that tracks.
Country is still not making the cut.
5,034 liked songs and counting.
Songs that bring me joy - Spotify Playlist
There is absolutely no strategy behind this playlist besides one very simple rule.
If it hits, it stays.
That is it.
This is what I put on when I am working, driving, walking by the lake, sitting outside in summer, or just trying to make the day feel a little better. Always shuffled. Never overthought.
It is 392 songs and the range is kind of ridiculous, but that is part of the fun. Elderbrook, BABYMETAL, Creed, The Wonder Years, all somehow making sense in the same place.
Use this playlist the same way I do.
Not to judge your headphones.
To enjoy them.
I also have a Tidal playlist that I made when the only people in the office were just myself and Andrew. It's a playlist that played non-stop on the pair of red Focal Sopra 3s we had in the office while we brainstormed a lot of the crazy ideas that make Headphones.com what it is today.

Delilah (pull me out of this)
Fred Again...
Like I said above, I'm not going to give tasting notes on the music. Fred Again... is my favourite artist. Hands down. No one has dominated my Spotify Wrapped over the last couple of years like Fred Again... has. If you haven't listened to Fred Again...'s Delilah (pull me out of this), I'd recommend doing it. Even if EDM is not your thing this is a song that just pulls people together.

Grin
BAYNK
Just an immaculate vibe. A song that goes down smooth with no aftertaste, it's likely one that stays on repeat.

Gloria
The Midnight
The first track I heard from The Midnight back in 2014. Well other tracks from The Midnight like "Los Angeles" or "Sunset" might hog the limelight, "Gloria" will always have a special place in my heart as the song that completely changed my listening taste. If you ever feel nostalgic for a time you weren't alive (or maybe you were) I highly recommend checking out The Midnight.

Turn The Lights Off
Kato, Jon
You may have seen the meme of Jon Hamm dancing in the club with the colorful lights. You might not have. This song popped up in my recommended songs and when I heard it I knew it was going straight to the playlist. After I played it for my wife, she informed me that it was the Jon Hamm song.

One Last Breath - Jojo Lorenzo Remix
Creed, Jojo Lorenzo
Who doesn't love some Creed? Every 4-5 months my friends that I group up with and I get together and some form of Creed always makes it to the playlist. If you're in the mood for some Creed but happy, this is the remix for you.
