Strada is Meze Audio’s take on a modern closed-back dynamic headphone that prioritizes tonal balance, musical intimacy, and long-term comfort. Built around a refined 50mm dynamic driver and housed in a lightweight magnesium frame with Macassar ebony ear cups, Strada creates a private listening space where detail, texture, and dynamics remain effortless and natural.

Drawing from the ergonomics of the LIRIC chassis and the driver heritage of the 109 PRO, Strada blends isolation, clarity, and emotional engagement in a design meant for both focused listening and everyday use.

Sound Signature

Strada delivers a balanced and controlled presentation with a touch of warmth that enhances musical engagement without masking detail. Bass is tight and well-defined with a subtle lift that adds weight and punch. The midrange stays neutral and transparent, preserving natural timbre and separation across vocals and instruments. Treble extends cleanly with gentle energy in the upper registers, revealing spatial cues and fine textures while remaining smooth and fatigue-free.

The result is a closed-back tuning that feels open and natural, offering clarity and impact without sounding analytical or sterile.

Closed-Back Design and Comfort

Inspired by the acclaimed LIRIC chassis, Strada uses a closed-back architecture optimized for dynamic drivers. The lightweight magnesium frame distributes pressure evenly across the head, while deep memory foam ear pads provide a consistent seal and effective noise isolation.

The ear pads combine a soft PU leather contact surface with an Alcantara-lined inner chamber to manage heat and moisture buildup. This design supports long listening sessions without fatigue and makes Strada easy to live with throughout the day.

Dynamic Driver Engineering

At the core of Strada is a 50mm dynamic driver first introduced in the 109 PRO and carefully retuned for closed-back performance. The driver retains its natural character while being refined to perform optimally in a sealed chamber.

The W-shaped dome is made from a carbon fiber reinforced cellulose composite, offering high stiffness with low mass for improved clarity and reduced distortion. Surrounding the dome is a beryllium-coated semicrystalline polymer torus applied through Physical Vapor Deposition. Precision-cut grooves positioned at a 45.5 degree angle improve transient response and control.

A copper-zinc alloy stabilizer surrounds the membrane to absorb unwanted vibrations and further reduce distortion, contributing to Strada’s transparent and vivid presentation.

Craftsmanship and Materials

Strada reflects Meze Audio’s focus on materials and build quality. The Macassar ebony ear cups are dense and visually distinctive, with natural brown tones and golden striations that make each pair unique. The magnesium frame is hand-painted in a refined green finish with subtle metallic particles, applied in four layers by Meze’s in-house artisans.

Magnetic ear pads allow for easy removal and replacement while maintaining a proper acoustic seal. Smooth adjustment rods provide precise fit tuning with fluid movement and no stepped clicks.
