With its sleek design and advanced engineering, the 105 AER strikes the perfect tonal balance, inviting you to rediscover your favorite tracks with a renewed sense of clarity and immersion.
Crafted with premium materials, including cast zinc alloy hardware, PVD-coated components, and velour ear pads, the 105 AER ensures durability while remaining incredibly lightweight at just 336 grams. Meze Audio’s dedication to ergonomic design and long-term sustainability makes the 105 AER an ideal choice for those who value both comfort and environmental responsibility.
Superior Driver Design for Unparalleled Performance
The 50mm dynamic driver of the 105 AER has been meticulously fine-tuned to deliver a unique sound signature. With subtle modifications to the driver membrane and frame, the 105 AER provides a balanced audio profile that effortlessly adapts to all musical styles. From intricate classical compositions to bass-heavy electronic tracks, the headphones excel in bringing out every detail.
The ultra-thin torus surrounding the driver dome is constructed from PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), a polymer known for its exceptional mechanical properties. This innovative material ensures the diaphragm’s structural integrity while enhancing clarity and detail. Its lightweight nature allows for rapid movement in response to audio signals, reducing unwanted resonances and vibrations for an incredibly precise listening experience.
A Spacious Soundstage That Redefines Audio Depth
The open-back design of the 105 AER creates a vast soundstage with excellent instrument separation and spatial accuracy. This design eliminates the restrictive feel of closed-back headphones, providing a more natural and immersive listening environment. Whether you’re enjoying a live orchestral performance or intimate acoustic tracks, the 105 AER ensures a lifelike reproduction that places you in the center of the music.
Tuned by Meze Audio’s expert acoustic engineers, the headphones deliver a refined and warm sound signature with a slight emphasis on bass and sub-bass frequencies. This enhances the overall immersion and adds a satisfying depth to your music, making every listening session a captivating experience.
All-Day Comfort for Extended Listening Sessions
The Meze Audio 105 AER is designed with comfort in mind, featuring velour ear pads that provide a soft, breathable fit. These cushions ensure a natural sound seal without causing overheating, even during long listening sessions. The self-adjusting headband evenly distributes weight, accommodating any head shape or size for a secure and comfortable fit.
With a focus on usability, the 105 AER is easy to drive from a variety of audio sources, ranging from portable devices to high-end home audio setups. This versatility makes it a go-to choice for listeners seeking convenience without compromising on sound quality.
Built to Last: Sustainable by Design
Meze Audio’s commitment to sustainability shines through in the 105 AER. Designed with a modular structure, the headphones can be disassembled and serviced endlessly, extending their lifespan and reducing environmental impact. By choosing materials and components that withstand the test of time, Meze Audio ensures that the 105 AER remains a reliable companion for years to come.
This focus on longevity aligns with Meze Audio’s belief that a longer product lifespan translates to a smaller environmental footprint. The 105 AER is a testament to the brand’s dedication to crafting high-quality, sustainable audio equipment.
Aesthetic Excellence That Matches Performance
Drawing inspiration from Art Deco design, the 105 AER combines functional engineering with visual elegance. Its curves and surfaces reveal subtle, intricate details over time, offering a luxurious aesthetic that complements its superior performance. Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 17 reviews.
I absolutely adore these headphones. The build quality and comfort are exactly what you'd come to expect from Meze's product lineup, that being second to none. The sound is some of the best I've heard from a headphone at this price point ($300 discounted). Overall amazing pair of cans that I'd have no problem recommending to any and everybody, audio nerd or not.
I use EqMac app and they have eq curves for the 105 AER. They are light and comfortable. The sound is great.
They look great and are very comfortable. they sound better than my other headphones and Ive tried more tan a few of them.
I bought these for comfort first and sound quality second. They are exceptionally light weight but provide first rate sound quality compared to my other headphones.
Fantastic sets of headphones from Meze! Truly competes with 109 Pro but also has a different sound signature and sound expands with better amps!
Not So Little Sister The Meze 105 Aer is a wonderful everyday companion to the 109 Pro. I've had the 109 Pro since it's launch and while it is an awesome headphone, it can be fatiguing and I don't find myself using it for longer than 1 hour at a time. Enter the 105 Aer! This headphone has just the right balance of low end, beautiful mids and crisp, yet non-fatiguing highs. Overall an amazing sound signature. In typical Meze fashion, the build is fantastic and the comfort is exceptional. To be honest, I love the wood on the 109 Pro but the plastic honeycomb like cups on the 105 Aer is pretty stylish as well. The earpads are plush, the cable is nice and non-microphonic. Overall, this was an excellent purchase and as also the Headphones.com team were super to deal with. Alan in particular went above and beyond to help me pick this set and get the logistics worked out. Thank you, Alan!
awesome shipping and headphones
excellent headphones, meze's quality is no joke. Very comfortable pads and band system. Dynamic drivers make for a warm signature that has great punch. Slightly harsh peak in the 3.5k hertz range, EQ slightly but otherwise enjoyable.
Oh i love its sound. But don't give it a 5 star cause for a $400.00 headphone the cable that come with it has the channel’s mislabeled. For anything else is a very beautiful and great sounding, after changing cables orientation, set of headphones. Will recomend to anybody.
The Meze 105 are very comfortable and feel very well made. They have a good amount of bass and are not fatiguing. I find them to be a good compliment to Edition XS as they have different strengths. I am really enjoying them for single player games.
Balanced AND fun! Who knew? Everything that is wrong with the 660S2s is right with the 105 Aer. Everything that is right with the 660S2s is equal or better on the 105 Aer. Very comfortable.
I am very much enjoying. Like all the reviewers will tell you, this has a v-shaped tuning. Not the most neutral. However, I have been rocking a focal elex for quite a while now, and for me I find that this is great for an alternative sound. To me the presentation is very relaxed, while also being engaging. It has good bass, but i found that eq can make them really slam. I prefer not to eq, but these seem to respond well to it. I cannot get over the build and comfort, they are just fantastic. If I was to only own one headphone, I don't think this would be my first pick, just because I personally prefer more forward vocals. As a second headphone, it's great. 👍
Buying was super simple and straight forward, and the headphones arrived quickly and packaged well. My next pair of headphones will most likely be purchased from you guys as well. Thanks!
These sound pretty good. The leaking is surprisingly little for an open back and they’re pretty comfortable. I’m not an expert listener but I’m enjoying a lot of music with natural instruments and especially hi-hats.
Meze 105 headphone came with a defective cable with sound only coming out of right ear. I requested a replacement cable but have not received a response back
They look gorgeous! The sound has been very pleasing. Feels definitely more open then my last pair. At the moment, very pleased with my purchase!
