Description
The Hifiman Serenade Wireless is a compact desktop DAC and Class A headphone amplifier that adds modern streaming to serious two channel and headphone setups. It combines Hifiman's Hymalaya Pro R2R ladder DAC with a fully discrete Class A output stage and a high headroom linear power supply, then layers in Ethernet and WiFi so you can bridge local files, NAS libraries, and streaming services into your existing system. With 4.4 mm balanced, XLR 4 pin balanced, and 6.3 mm single ended outputs plus balanced and RCA line outs, Serenade Wireless is built for listeners who want both flexibility and real high end performance from a single chassis.
Key Features
- Updated Serenade platform with built in wireless networking and streaming support
- Hymalaya Pro R2R ladder DAC with new FPGA algorithm and 0.01 percent precision resistors
- THD as low as 0.0012 percent at minus 6 dB for clean, low distortion conversion
- Legendary FET operational amplifier and discrete LPF analog circuit for detailed, low noise output
- Fully Class A headphone amplifier topology for rich tone and fast transient response
- High current linear power supply with 50 watt toroidal transformer and nearly 30,000 microfarads of filtering
- Wireless and wired network playback via Ethernet or WiFi with NAS and streaming support
- Multiple headphone outputs including 4.4 mm balanced, XLR 4 pin balanced, and 6.3 mm single ended
- Rear panel XLR balanced and RCA single ended line outputs for use as a standalone DAC or preamp
Use Case
Serenade Wireless is ideal for personal audio listeners who want a single box that can act as DAC, Class A headphone amplifier, and streaming bridge. Use it on a desk to drive full size headphones from the balanced outputs, or run its line outs into powered monitors or a speaker amp for a compact streaming front end. With both traditional digital inputs and network playback you can keep using your existing transport while adding high quality streaming in the same footprint.
Streaming and Connectivity
- Plays local files over a home network through a NAS or shared storage
- Supports wired Ethernet and WiFi network connections
- Works as a traditional USB, coaxial, and optical DAC for existing digital sources
- Front panel headphone outputs for quick switching between different cables and terminations

FAQ
Can I use Serenade Wireless as a pure DAC into my speaker system
Yes. The rear XLR and RCA outputs allow you to run Serenade Wireless as a standalone DAC or preamp into a stereo amplifier or powered speakers.
How powerful is the headphone amplifier
The Class A headphone stage can deliver up to 4000 milliwatts into 32 ohms from the balanced output and over 700 milliwatts into 300 ohms. That is enough for most planar magnetic and dynamic driver headphones that are designed for desktop use.
Do I need to use the streaming features
No. You can use Serenade Wireless as a traditional USB, coaxial, or optical DAC and ignore the network inputs if you prefer a more conventional setup.
Is Serenade Wireless suitable for low impedance IEMs
The Class A design and low noise analog stage are well suited to many in ear monitors, but as with any powerful desktop amp you may find the volume control moves quickly with very sensitive models. For most IEMs a low gain setting and careful volume adjustment is recommended.
Can I place Serenade Wireless on a small desk
Yes. The chassis is relatively compact for a full size Class A DAC amp and works well on a desk or side table as long as you allow space around it for ventilation.
