The Chora 826 is the flagship floorstanding loudspeaker in the Chora lineup, designed to deliver full-range performance with clarity, scale, and control. Built around Focal’s proprietary Slatefiber drivers and paired with an advanced aluminum magnesium tweeter, the 826 offers a powerful yet balanced presentation that works especially well in medium to large listening spaces.

With a front-ported bass reflex design, refined cabinet geometry, and a time-aligned tilted stand, the Chora 826 is engineered to produce a cohesive soundstage with impactful low end and articulate midrange detail.

Balanced, Full-Range Performance

The Chora 826 uses a three-way driver configuration to maintain clarity and separation across the entire frequency range. Dual 6.5 inch Slatefiber woofers provide controlled, dynamic bass with strong extension, while the dedicated midrange driver preserves vocal presence and tonal accuracy.

An aerodynamic front port reduces turbulence and distortion, allowing the low frequencies to remain clean and well-defined even at higher listening levels.

TNF Aluminum Magnesium Tweeter

High frequencies are handled by Focal’s TNF inverted dome tweeter, made from an aluminum magnesium alloy for speed and precision. The tweeter uses a Poron memory foam surround, derived from Focal’s Utopia designs, to reduce distortion in the critical 2 kHz to 3 kHz range where the human ear is most sensitive.

This design delivers smooth, detailed treble with wide dispersion, allowing consistent tonal balance throughout the listening room.

Slatefiber Cone Technology

Exclusive to Focal, Slatefiber cone technology uses recycled non-woven carbon fibers arranged in a uniform direction and sandwiched between thermoplastic polymer layers. This structure improves rigidity and damping while keeping the driver lightweight.

The result is a sound that is fast, controlled, and natural, with excellent transient response and tonal balance across bass and midrange frequencies.
