The DMS Project Omega Headphones are a heartfelt tribute to the world of audio. Built from the ground up from DMS over the last couple of years, this is a project that he has poured his heart and soul into. Crafted with a keen focus on durability and sound quality, these headphones feature a unique hollow cup structure made via nylon sintering for lightweight comfort and a meticulously selected driver for consistent, natural low-end elevation. Emphasizing function over form, the design may not appeal to everyone, but it's a deliberate choice to prioritize auditory experience over aesthetics. The DMS Project Omega is a limited-run headphone with production running for just a year. After that, the design will be open-sourced to the community.
This isn't a collaboration product. This is a product built from the ground up through passion, blood sweat and tears from DMS. DMS isn't just looking for profit but is hoping that over the year he gains a deeper understanding of the industry and in turn, enhances his knowledge as a reviewer.

DMS Project Omega Headphones Features
Cup style
More information
Open-back headphone designs are often higher-performance but have poor noise isolation and leak sound. Closed-back designs provide better noise isolation and leak less sound.
Wearing style
More information
Over-ear headphones sit over your ear and surround your ear with a ring of padding. On-ear headphones are padded but rest on top of your ear. In-ear monitors are worn inside your ear canal.
Driver type
More information
Speakers and headphones use a device called a 'driver' to create sound. Different types of drivers have different strengths and weaknesses, but can all produce great sound. Common varieties include dynamic, planar magnetic, and electrostatic.
Amp required
More information
Some headphones require the power of an amplifier to reach comfortable listening volumes.
Hand-Crafted In Tennessee
Project Omega has been re-iterated on over the years by DMS and through those many iterations, everything was done from his home base in Tennessee. Now that Project Omega is finally in production, that isn't going to change.
Repairable, Modular Design
For anyone who has followed DMS throughout his career, one thing has always remained clear. He cares deeply about sustainability and products he considers "e-waste". Project Omega has easily replaceable and repairable parts.
Lightweight & Comfortable
High-End headphones don't need to be heavy beasts to be premium. DMS agrees and set out to make Project Omega as light as he could, using a hollow structure for the ear cups made via nylon sintering.
Audio Jewelry This Is Not
While DMS personally loves the aesthetic of Project Omega, he understands that not everyone will. But the more important part for him was nailing the sound, which he absolutely did.
One-Year Run
The Project Omega will be available for one-year only. The journey to making Project Omega was just the first step, DMS now gets to learn the ins and outs of the actual costs associated with making a headphone. After one-year, Project Omega will be open-source.
