X Series Driver

4th Generation Grado drivers are here. Specifically tuned for the Grado Labs SR 325x Prestige Series, this new speaker design features a more powerful magnetic circuit, a voice coil with decreased effective mass, and a reconfigured diaphragm. Reengineering these components for our 44mm drivers improve efficiency, reduces distortion, and preserves the harmonic integrity of your music.

New Cables & Headband

Along with the speakers, the cables and headband have been redesigned for the SR 325x on-ear headphones. Housed in a more durable exterior, the now super annealed copper 8-conductor cable reveals even more of your music with improved purity. The new leather headband features white stitching exclusive to the SR325x in the Prestige Series.

Each SR325x is hand-built by our team in Brooklyn. This headphone goes from workbench to workbench until it’s ready for your ears. We started building on a kitchen table in 1953, and every experience since then has led to the creation of the SR325x.

This recent 'e' update improves the element material quality and a better cord design with sturdier driver housing, resulting in the best audio performance yet for the long-running SR325 model series.

The SR325e continue Grado's venerable tradition of made-in-the-USA quality. The headphones utilize their traditional flexible headband and metal height adjusters connecting the SR325e's shiny aluminum silver earcups to the headband, which allows for up & down sizing adjustment plus full 360 degree earpiece rotation. This feature is ideal for laying the headphones down flat or for storage & traveling.

The upgraded SR-325e headphone cord is a straight but fairly short 6.5-ft length, attaches to both earcups in a 'Y' design, and is made of Grado's own excellent high-definition 'Prestige' proprietary copper audio cabling. The cord is terminated to a 1/8" [3.5 mm] 'mini' plug and includes a large 1/4" stereo plug adapter.
